"Mark's Car"
6"x12"
oil on cradled panel
I've actually had this finished for about a week, but my computer is acting up and for some reason wouldn't let me post this photo. This is NOT my typical subject matter, but this car; I'm not sure what kind it is...I called it a stock car, but not understanding the terminology I may be all wrong...HOWEVER, Mark; my daughter's father-in-law, and a friend LOVES this car...It has won awards and such...so I wanted to capture it for him.
My husband was amazed that I could do it; me not being a very linear person, and I told him I just thought of it like a puzzle. Each part I thought of as shapes and lines...and that my friends is how one paints something way out of their comfort zone!
SO, Christmas preparations continue at this house...and probably will until we leave for Omaha for the holidays!
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY CREATING!!

Dear Saundra - very good job ...I think doing a vehicle would be quite difficult. I am sure your friend will love it. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas.
It is wonderful, Saundra. Never was a fan of souped up cars but I always love the older models. He will love it.
Thanks girls...It's a good thing to paint out of our comfort zone now and then...it sharpens the senses...would I do them every day, no...HA...but I DO appreciate your encouragement!! Happy Holidays!!
