Here I am in Oklahoma City without my Nikon camera! Aarrgghh! But, no worries, I have my ipad; which is what I shot this photo with. Sometimes I even feel I get a better pic, but the photo editing could be a little better...suffice it to say the real painting is NOT blurry...and a bit more vibrant, but very close all in all!
I'm happy to say my mother is much improved! YEA! She is eating and napping, so I had a bit of time to paint today! I've planned more painting in the next day or so...so I am a happy girl!!
Some of you may be wondering if I will EVER get back to my mixed media work. The answer is a resounding YES! I wanted to get a head start on my Etsy shop, which I am beginning to feel good about...and as soon as I am home this weekend I'm crackin down to work on a couple new pieces for my gallery in Louisville where I hear I will be a featured artist for September/October! YIPPEE!!
I hope if you are in the area you can stop by and see the work in person. It's CREATIONS ART and GIFTS in Louisville, CO. Stop in and tell Vickey hello and that I sent you!
I hope this finds you all happily enjoying the last of the dog days of summer (for those folks in this hemisphere)...and the rest...well, looking forward to summer?? Either way...happy was the key word here!
HAPPY CREATING!

I think this is a wonderful piece, Saundra. Love the rustic piece the oranges are sitting on too. I didn't know your mom wasn't feeling well, though I suspect her recent loss is enough to knock one off their meddle for quite awhile.
Congratulations on your being a featured artist and on all that you do in general. Count me an admirer.
Thanks crimson leaves...it's nice to know there is someone out there that reads my stuff! Ha
