This is my second bear from the LAC still life set up this past Wednesday.  I giggled several times in process with this little guy...he just kept STARING at me in such a cute way! LOL  As I will be doing, I'm offering a 5"x5" black backing board that will be mounted with acid free double stick tape for those who may want to keep the entire painting in view and frame it in a 5"x5" frame...this will give the backing 1/4" all the way around...so cute!

So...remember yesterdays' post where I said I'd found the PERFECT 5"x5" frame at Michaels for my Etsy paintings...and that it had been discontinued???  WELL, according to the Michaels customer support they are NOT discontinued...HMMMMMM......HOWEVER, I am leary of offering these paintings framed in case CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS WRONG??  Sheesh...the trouble a person has when trying to make a living! HA So, I'm going to watch this situation and see what is what...

I'm having fun doing these mini oils for my Etsy store...they are a perfect bit of breath between the mixed media paintings I do!  Yesterday I went to Lakewood Arts Council and painted with a group.  For $5 you can paint with the aide of a teacher on the premisis if you wish...A still life is set up and you can choose a part of it, all of it, or none of it to paint!  Yesterday there were several stuffed animals set into the still life; I LOVE stuffed animals, so I grabbed my brushes and started!

 

I am distressed that the frames I originally had intended to offer as a framing option for ETSY were actually DISCONTINUED by Michaels.  SO SAD!  I began to search ALL OVER...the WEB, the CITY...and didn't find ANYTHING that looked as nice...was as cost effective, or available...so, for now Im just offering my little mini's on ETSY with a 5"x5" black acid free/lightfast board if desired FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE, for those who may want to take advantage of every bit of space on this little painting!  Framed inside a 5"x5" frame not only gives it a bigger presence, but looks AWESOME!

 

I'm working on a mixed media cherry piece also...it's little, and cradled...so that is ALSO FUN!
