"Up Close and Personal"
6x12" 1 3/4" cradled MDF acrylic and acid free paper collage
I usually stain the sides, and it looks ok, but this one I'm not sure...I'm thinking it needs to be painted...a white wash thing...still deciding cuz it would look different than my other deep cradles...not sure...any thoughts? I promise to consider them all...and then decide on my own...tee hee!
Off to make a cradle for my wax collage demo from the workshop...FUN...
HAPPY CREATING!!

This is such a fresh looking piece. Really nice composition and the collage works really well. I think the sides should be a dark green.

Thanks for your input Jean!!
I LOVE the idea of a white wash...It will make those aspen trunks even more powerful. A beautiful piece, Saundra. What size was this?
Let's do this again Miss Autumn Leaves! Blogger isn't playing nice today...I like the idea of white wash...BUT, Jean's suggestion of green may keep the contrast high...HOWEVER...IF I move from the stained sides will it detract from the whole body of work where, so far they are stained...hmmm...food for thought...:) In the end I'm sure I'll do what is best for each piece...but I'm still wondering...
I really like this one. Great jhob. Very Colorado.
Thanks Gary...It came from my neighbors front yard right here in COLORADO!! :)
