This is my latest re-work painting. I didn't change much, but I decided to change the color of the beak to gold instead of silver, and I reworked the rock a bit. To me it made a WORLD of difference with such a small change!
The Raven is filled with symbolism from all cultures. Most think the
symbolism revolves around death and the occult. This is absolutely NOT
true. In fact, the symbolism involves words and meanings like wisdom,
learning and even the Native Americans believed the raven held creation
in it's "feathers". Although I do not believe the raven created the
world, I love the positive spin this bird holds rather than the spooky
undertones he has a bad reputation for!
