I'm not thrilled with the photos I've taken of this piece all along...don't know if it is the papers that are reflecting or what...but after a few attempts this is the best I could do...Suffice it to say it is VERY colorful and FULL of a LOT1...But, I'm likin it MUCH better than the ancient aspen stand I had done...
As I've been working on this the past three days I was thinking about how my paintings are really like my friends. We artists that work on our own...(which I think is most of us)...work in solitude and often end up doing crazy ish things like talking to our work, or the floor, or the radio or whatever is still long enough to listen...for me, it is my artwork...I was wondering if any of you ever felt that way. It can be lonely at times, a little too quiet...but then, for me, when I produce something so colorful at least I have a smile for my new friend who brightened at least a moment of my day! I think that is why I am so happy to "know" all of you...there may not be sound...but there is definately communication to lift the silence in our minds! Thank you all!!
HAPPY CREATING!!

Wow! This turned out really well!! I like it a lot!
Thanks Julia! MUCH better than the one underneath it! lol
Truly beautiful, Saundra. I couldn't say I liked it MORE than your ancient aspen stand, but I can say that I like it as much as...
I always like when you add your words to a piece and I don't think they ever conflict with a piece. They are usually small enough and faint enough that to me, they are just one more hidden gem in your gorgeous works.
I don't know about the photographic gremlins, but what you've posted here is absolutely beautiful! It's cheerful, colourful, energetic and a wonderful work of art - no wonder you talk to it!
This may be one of my fav poppy paintings Saundra, I love what you have done here...so creative and full of energy and color!
WOW, thanks girls...this little poppy friend of mine is happy! :)
Hi Saundra. I, too, have a hard time photographing the details of my paper collages. I suppose I could just zoom in and set it on that little flower setting for fine details but. . . well. . . I just don't know.
Regardless, I'm posting to let you know the secret of my contented, solitary, work environment. Ready? (wait for it) Audio books!! The greatest thing I've found. The biggest downfall is that if I don't have a good book, I tend to find it hard to work. I've got a subscription to Recorded Books, but I don't always like all the books.
Anyway, LOVE the poppies!
GREAT suggestion Susan...thanks!! It's nice to know I'm not alone!!
This piece is very creative and the colors are perfect. Wish I could see the original to see how the collage pieces look in the piece. Must be even better.
Jean
Thanks Jean...this one is definitely sparky! FUN!
Roger
Merci Le Chemin...
Gorgeous art!
