"PEAR"
4x4 original oil on fiberboard
As I have said before it is good to take a little break from the norm and do something in a different media, or a different way, it doesn't really matter...just different...So, for me, today was a little oil painting of this yummy pear. I needed to keep my painterly self up to date...and even though I absolutely LOVE working in my new style...I still enjoy a little jaunt into other areas...I encourage any of you who are experiencing a little stall, or are a bit tired and need a new focus to pick up a medium that isn't your norm...or try a little different something...I guarantee it is just like a walk and clearing your head with fresh air!!
I am aware that I need to "refresh" my blog and website...It is important to keep current...I think the overwhelming and happy popularity of my new work AND trying to put an art group together up here on the mountain has left me running to and fro...so...updating and cleaning up are a coming!
HAPPY CREATING!!

I love the pear!...love the Cherry Tomatoes below and seeing the step by step how it evolved. Could not agree with you more about refreshing yourself by doing something out of the ordinary,,,I do exactly that when I am not painting...a little dabbling here and there,,,photography, collage, stamping, ,,,it makes all the difference....keeps us sane:)

WOW Cynthia...a woman after my own heart! If we lived near each other I'm sure we'd be painting buddies! Thanks for stopping by!
I know you enjoy your collages but your oil skills are wonderful. This pear sparkles with light and shadow and complementary colors. A simple but lovely painting.

Love the brushstrokes.
Thanks girls...I have a ball with my collage...but I DO love a bit of oil as well!
Bonjour Saundra !
Bisousssssss
Were I a liker of fruit, I'd be jonesing to pluck this one right from the screen, Saundra. It looks absolutely lush and juicy and so very well done!!
Merci Miss Martinealison! and, so appreciated miss Autumn Leaves! It was fun to play with it yesterday!
Your work is marvelous...it keeps getting better and better. I love the pear and the tomatoes. Its making me hungry!
HA...thanks Donna...It makes me hungry too...but since I have the stuff right in front of me I can eat it when I'm finished painting it! ha
This little pear is quite beautiful Saundra! So painterly! And I've gone back through your blog, missed quite a lot - those cherry tomatoes and how you start it all, so amazing!
