Getting back to my mixed media has been a fresh experience...and nothing is fresher than pops of bright red as is the case with my cherries!  I've gotten fond of my English Oak stain color for the sides of my pieces, but I really should mention that the sides are also perfectly ready in case you wanted to paint them any color you wish!  Not everyone is an English Oak!


I am still going strong with my work to put work in my re-opened ETSY shop!  I put two little bears in last week and promptly sold one! YEP, that's what we want!!  I will be making some additions that reflect my mixed media work very soon...but want to just play in oil for the moment.  I will very soon be taking my ETSY store on the road to select schools in the area.  When I was teaching we occasionally had people come in and hang out in the break room for a bit and offer goods for sale to teachers who have so little time and money to buy gifts and things for ourselves that make those teaching days feel a little more enjoyable!...so, I will be visiting schools with my ETSY paintings and offering my inventory to them.  IF you live in the Denver area and would like to see me make appointments to hang out in your break room, shoot me an e-mail at art4life44@hotmail.com and let's see what we can do!!

In preperation for all this painting my husband built me a wonderful dry rack over the weekend.  It's made from MDF and metal window u's are attached to give my panels a safe place to sit and dry.  We hung it behind my studio door...perfectly out of the way and a great storage idea to boot!  You can see I designed it for different size panels for days I may want to paint larger! Thanks hubby dear!!
