Today I just felt like a sense of humor was needed! It was a busy weekend, I am tired, so the chuckle I had while painting this duck was just the ticket! I used a pumice for the dirt he was standing in over a slightly textured panel.
As always, the sides are painted black and he can be purchased as is to frame as you choose, or mounted on a black backer board for framing with all the sides showing in a 5"x5" frame. I have found great frames at Hobby Lobby, or Michaels.
I have been asked why I like to paint on textured panels. Well, I enjoy texture for sure...so that's one reason, but also...it adds to the originality of the piece. I've also been asked why I sign my paintings LANE instead of Galloway...and the answer is because Lane was how I've signed for years...so, to keep the continuity of my signature I decided to keep it that way...besides...Lane is now my middle name, so it's all good!!
HAPPY CREATING!
