Ok, I finished this last piece and had a moment to stick it in here to give you all a preview.  UNFORTUNATELY I was in SO much of a hurry that I forgot to photograph it before it was sealed, so there is a smidge of glare here and there...SORRY! These are snippets of views I see every time I drive out to Nebraska on the way to see my daughter and soon to be little grandson!!  Good memories!

For those of you who remember the other piece I did...this is inspired by my all time favorite landscape artist "Grant Woods"...

Now off to do more...but I had to share...this is one of my favorites!!

Do not adjust your screen...you may see some glare...and they are dark...THIS often happens when rushing for a deadline...I forgot to photograph these before I put them under glass...and in too much of a hurry to do it right...sigh...But, I am trying to get one more done before the show this weekend, so...here they are in their very poorly photographed state!

This is probably my last post before the weekend...but I  HOPE some of you can stop by my tent this weekend at the SUMMER ART MARKET!

So, here we are just a few days from the SUMMER ART MARKET and I'm busy at the easel.  At some point I just need to stop, but I'm STILL hoping to crank out a couple more...we shall see...

Aspen Gold was almost called CANDYLAND...this whimsical, colorful piece was a joy to do...and reminds me of candy! FUN...I hope those of you in the area can stop by...my booth number is 6...I'm going to be at Sherman and 3rd just a few from the end...I'm not sure how great that is, and I'm sharing with a potter for this first year (a rule)...but I'll be there with my smile and happy to talk to any that stop by!  HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!

BIG OLE TREE BEGINNING...UGGHH...but only at first!

 

This has GOT to be the worst pic I've posted to date...HA...the dark area you see top left??...yep, that's a shadow, not color...so...you are REALLY gonna have to use your imaginations on this one...BUT, I wanted to show you that I AM working...it's just spotty while I'm also doing all the technical stuff getting ready for the SUMMER ART MARKET that will begin next weekend!  I hope all of you in the area can stop by my tent (#6) at Sherman and 3rd sometime Saturday or Sunday from 10-5 ish...It should be FUN!

So, the beginning is kind of obvious...ground on bottom, trees in the middle...leaves...BUT, this is very rough and sketchy...it will be FUN to see just how it REALLY turns out!  Stay tuned!!...This is 2'x2'...FUN!

This series has been a kick to do.  I have missed working with my original paper casts, so it was a perfect chance to do some more!  These are simple, and different from my typical fare as I have matted and framed them under glass...I've stayed small to be able to offer very affordable pieces for the shopper that is on a budget...which, considering our economy of late is most of us!!

I think I have a few more in me...time permitting, as I also want to do another 2' x 2' SOMETHING...and, a few more small pieces if I have time...which i see I am running out of...so...whew...I have to be realistic!!  But, I'm STILL having FUN!
