SNOW!

If you are anywhere near a television you will see that Denver got blasted with a blizzard. I am so grateful we got some moisture as our fire danger is extreme, but living in the mountains means we got a couple of feet out of this storm...For us that means a day of shoveling and survival. I have hit a bit of a block in my painting so even though I've spent these past few days dealing with storm and helping navigate my husband home from the airport in the middle of it I would sneak up to slap some paint on the canvas as well. I don't know if it is the tension of snow survival (and now shoveling the 2' off our 150' driveway) or the block just came simultaneously, but I'm not having much luck with my end results. I know we all face it from time to time. The only solution I know of is to keep plugging on and perhaps find some inspiration from fellow painters out there. I think I'll spend some time (in-between shoveling :)) looking at all the beautiful work you all do, and hope it helps me over this current hump!
In the meantime I thought I'd pass along a couple of pictures I took this morning of what beauty is around, as well as the sheer volume. Happy Painting to you all!

Wow, I don't envy you digging out. I remember when we had to do this in Virginia on occasion. Makes me love CA more, although my husband misses the changing seasons.

I didn't envy me today either...though my husband did most of the digging out! Oh well, I did the heavy stuff...I made paper for collage! YEA for being an artist and having a great guy that does the shoveling...mostly...

Oh no! Look at that snow! I'm glad I'm back in Africa.
