"Mt Evans in Collage" came together easily yesterday with the addition of some strategically placed trees in the foreground. As I talked about yesterday I was a bit dismayed at the fact that despite my attempt to keep things out of the middle, that is exactly where the peak landed! I took the center tree away and played with placement of the three trees to help the awkward peak situation. I believe it has helped. I played with the idea of collaging trees, but decided to paint them with acrylic and add paper highlights where needed. The end result is a playful interpretation and I am ready to move on to see about painting it in oils. I am very CURIOUS :) to see how they both feel side by side...!

HAPPY CREATING to you all!!

I love your Mt Evans collage - yes the mt is smack dab in the middle, but you weighted the composition a little more on the right with the two trees, so it works.
Enjoyed your discussion about creativity and curiosity. That's exactly how I feel too. Thanks for the link.
You are always welcome! It was fun to do, but you have unleashed a curiosity monster...OILS...yummmm!!
This is lovely, Saundra, truly. I especially like the trees and am not at all bothered by the placement of the mountain peak (as if my opinion matters! LOL). I think it will be even more fabulous in oils, to tell you the truth. I love the light tipped branches too!
Thanks Autumn Leaves! The tree placement DID help the composition...so...gotta remember the rule...! First attempt at oil rendition wasn't good...so marching on...! Hopefully attempt #2 will be better!
