Digging Out

A tree outside my back deck...yep, it's a pine!

BRRRRRRR

Poor Birds!!

Our front deck...

Our back deck...whew...we've got our work cut out for us!!

Well, here it is...our latest storm. I'm sure after you see this you'll understand why there are no paintings for a couple of days! We got upwards to 3' this time. Didn't loose any trees this time, so for that I am grateful!

The drive up to the house was amazing. The bottom of the mountain was wet roads...the closer we got the more ice and snow were on the roads...scary drive even WITH snow tires! When we arrived there was too much snow on our 150' driveway so we trudged up...the stairs to the house looked like a slope...so I tried to walk up...some parts came up to my chest so I was stuck trying not to fall over!

But, at least we have power this time...so we are warming up and digging out!!

Here's hoping you all have much warmer days than Colorado right now!! Happy Painting!!

We lived in Colorado Springs for a couple of years in the early seventies, and I remember one year my husband had to carry our daughter across the street to go Hallowe'ening! Love your photos -- they bring back great memories.

Oh my Saundra, this looks like more snow than I saw in Sweden in February! And you've got this for the next four or five months?!! Makes me glad I'm an African living in Africa! Keep warm and safe. xx

Oh my!! So lusciously pretty but such a pain, isn't it? Great weather if you are indoors looking out (especially if it is a holiday)! Maybe this will give you a few days off from having to go out subbing!

Charlene...I remember having my dad do the same for me growing up here!

Liz...That is scary! I'm hoping this was our BIG one and we can have less from now on!! Wish I was in Africa about now!! :) Enjoy your "summer"

Autumn Leaves...yep, a big pain...but it is pretty. Couldn't sub today...too much ice...so, looking for warmer days!!
