ETSY and Paper Casting

I've been adding a few things to my ETSY shop the past couple of days...some things you will recognize and some you won't.  As any of you who have followed me for awhile will know I dip my fingers into a lot of different pots and as a result I end up with a store of items that don't really always fit into my website.  I use other creative ventures as a way of keeping my creative juices flowing and to keep me from stagnating.  I just simply cannot seem to stay with one thing for too long before I need just a bit of a break; that is when I pull out my jewelry making supplies, or make paper, or sew...whatever is calling to me at the time.

Today is paper casting day.  My husband is adding to my supplies so I can make more than 3 or 4 in one sitting...YEA husband!! As I mentioned, I want to offer some of my casts for sale on my ETSY site so if anyone is interested they too can play without the investment of the supplies...or the mold making time and energy.  So, hopefully this batch today will come out ok, I will decide on the best way to ship, and then I will put them in my store!  Right now you can see I have some leaves to offer....but I am also working on a line of heart casts.  Stay tuned for those...

I call these Dangles.  As you can see they dangle off of things...LIKE...purse straps, jean loops...just about anything that you can imagine to bling up...Why should our necks, wrists, fingers and ears get all the attention??  This faux pearl dangle has already been added to my ETSY shop. Hop on over for more detailed information and more photos.  I will be teaching a workshop at the Hobby Lobby in Lakewood Colorado on February 20...anyone in the area interested in joining us to learn how to make these e-mail me at art4life44@hotmail.com for more information! This particular dangle is photographed dangling off one of my blue jean bags that I also make and offer on ETSY...Right now I have one in stock, but I can always take orders for different colors for the interior if the one offered doesn't just fit the bill!

So, I've been busy...even started another wax collage using one of my heart casts...so stay tuned to see that finished piece...AND, yes I'm still planning on finishing my oil version of Mt. Evans AS seen from the top of the mountain behind my house...just waiting for the mountain to dry a bit so I can add my aspen trunks...still thinkin I will do aspen...FUN STUFF here at the Galloway house!! I hope your Saturday will be full of fun and friends!!

HAPPY CREATING...(wow, I just read over this and it sounds like I'm about to spring out singing "Ya'll come back now, ya here??")  But, I want you to...so perhaps I should have sung....NAW, too early!!

Saundra, I just love those paper casts. I hope when our refund comes that I can order some of them. Course, there is lots I want to do with that refund and the priorities have to be handled first, I suppose. Soon I hope!
