"Golf in the Rockies"
10" x 20" mixed media on canvas
ON HOLD
I'm really laughing about this painting. It was done at the request of the Deer Creek Golf Club in Littleton...well, they requested of the Ken Caryl Art Guild to do golf themed paintings and so we decided to do it at least once. This painting started out with sand traps and such but I HATED all those sand colored blobs in there, so after I kept changing it it turned into a landscape with a single flag and golf hole...that's all I could bear to put in there!! HA...So, I guess this will be my only golf themed painting...Not a fan of the subject matter...HOWEVER I was a fan of playing with acrylics in little bottles with line tips...you'll have to click on it to see the detail...THAT was fun!!
I'm also laughing about the frame I got...It is not my typical metal frame...it is a wood frame I got at Hobby Lobby...Well, when I got it home I hated the color, so started sanding and painting and currently it is a MESS...so, I will play some more and come up with a solution that I like better...AAAHHH life!! All in all...FUN DOINS!!
HAPPY CREATING!

I love the colors, patterns and of course the texture. Your work is very inspiring.
Thanks Krista! I could say the same of your work! I've been sending friends to your website to see!
De belles nuances de couleurs qui pourraient être dignes de la nature de notre Provence.
gros bisous
Changing out the frames a bit is something I would do. I've also been known to watercolor a light colored mat that was pre-cut to make it more interesting.
Anyway, you did a fine job with the gold piece, Saundra. I love that you were able to make your style shine through a piece that wasn't amongst your favorite subject matters.
