"HUMBUJ" 71/101 PET PORTRAITS IN 101 DAYS © SAUNDRA LANE GALLOWAY

"Humbuj" was a fascinating challenge kitty to paint...I BELIEVE she is a persian kitty, but I'm not sure.  It was interesting to figure out the lost and found areas of her fur...It was kind of like painting a semi invisible puff of fur!  FUN!  I used dark blues and purples to bring the darkest darks...and went all out pink for the background.  A great challenge to work with the bright colors and strong strokes of the fauve's!

Which of Humbuj's display options do you feel serves her best?
Love the simplicity of the easel.  This one can be found at Hobby Lobby

Black Floater Frame (the ptg. looks like it floats in the frame; good for those paintings where you want to see all the edges)  This and the ones following can be found at pictureframes.com in their floater frame section.  Right now they have free shipping for orders over $75.
CF1
 Maple Floater Frame
CFS10
Gold Leaf Floater Frame
CFS3
I think this is my favorite for Humbuj!

HAPPY CREATING!

Hard to choose a favorite display method on these...love both the easel and the gold and the black frame works well too. She's a beauty!! Love how you handled the sparkle of the hat in paint!
