"Cherry Duo"

Cherry Duo is that painting that can go in a kitchen, dining room, well, any room that needs a splash of summer color! Painted in front of a bit of what I think of as antiquity these cherries are bright with oranges and reds in different values. Cherry Duo is a 5"x7" oil painted on a slightly textured panel and is framed in my one of a kind wood frame with a big of red added to the top of the molding. The frame is 9"x11" finished size. It comes ready to hang or can sit nicely in an easel!

 

I really enjoy playing with making frames for some of these smaller paintings...they are truly one of a kind!  FUN DOINS!

A yummy memory of those happy summer days with all those juicy cherries out there to enjoy! A perfect splash of color for any little spot in your home! "3 Cherries" is oil on slightly textured panel. You can frame them as is in your favorite 4x4" frame (keep in mind that 1/2" is taken on all sides), OR I can mount "3 Cherries" on a 5x5" black or off white backer matt board so you can frame it in your favorite 5x5" frame with all sides showing! The frames shown are not included, but you can find the black one at Michaels, and the off white at Rustic and Refined Design on ETSY. "3 Cherries" will be ready to ship on August 18, 2014 when it is dry.

 

 Today is my wonderful grandson, Paxton's 3rd BD! YAY!  I can't express how much life has changed since he came into it!  I know all you grandparents out there understand how I feel!  He is truly light and life and joy in our lives and his Nana just HAD to share!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SWEETIE PIE!!  NANA LOVES YOU!

"Bell Necklace"

This sweet little bell hangs at the bottom of silver, red and pearlesque beads. It's 16" length makes it a perfect length for just about any neckline! The little bell is apx. 1/2" tall. It has a circle and bar closure with a little bead detail hanging in the back...a classy little detail for sure! "Bell Necklace" is part of my JUST FOR FUN series. (Just for Fun means it doesn't have expensive beads, thus making it affordable, but the workmanship is quality!) The red makes it perfect for a Valentines Day gift! Getting back into the swing of things after my latest commission with this bright little oil painting of a parrot I photographed when in San Diego.

 

 

Here is a suggestion for framing...I LOVE these 5" x5" frames I get from Michaels....FUN DOINS!

 

PS...I forget to remind folks that, as always, each monitor is going to be a little different...they all show color a tiny bit differently...YES, there is pink in the background, however, it isn't as heavy as it looks on some monitors...this is just the world of technology...we do the best we can!!

It's been quite busy in the studio and in life since returning from seeing my family of three a week ago, or so.  I worked a Christmas holiday event in Conifer, and have been prepping for two commission paintings as well as cleaning out the ole studio so I have ROOM to paint! I wish we could just blink our eyes and all the business ouside of painting would be done, but alas...we are still in the 21st century and that hasn't been discovered yet...so, off I go back to my easel!
