Maple Leaf Paper Cast Complete

After a couple of failed attempts I think this will be the final version of this particular cast. One thing I love about this medium is the amount of thinking and figuring that goes with the creation. The first version was a close-up of leaves of different colors. As my husband said it looked a bit like a kitchen trivet, which isn't bad if that was what you were going for! Ha...we always need to have that sense of humor, right?...Whether it ends up exactly as I planned doesn't matter as much to me as the creativity it sparks. I find the finished version pleasant. I have yet to decide the color I will mount it on, and that will change it a bit more when I do decide. That part is fun too. I think I will attempt a pinecone next...whew...I think I will look at it as an opportunity to think really creatively.

It certainly is good to get the creative spark going. This looks great. Like the way you got perspective going in the unusual shape.
