I didn't get my aspen collage finished as I wanted to make something for my mother before I left. She is really my biggest fan, and quite a marketer as well! She takes what I do for her all over the city and people want one. Way to go mother! I promised her a long time ago that anything new I create I do the first one for her, so, inspired by Alisa Burke's work from her book "Canvas Remix" I made mom this necklace out of rolled canvas. It is a blast to do and I know mom will love it. She also hands out my business cards so she requested a card holder for them as well. Sorry mom, it was number 5 in that series. I think she will forgive me!
As I said last week I won't have time to paint while in Oklahoma City, so I will be sending bits of inspiration to you all when I can figure out how to connect with her phone system. These pictures will be for you to use if they inspire you in any way you choose. The only thing I ask is that you send me what you did so I can see it and post it...so today's offering is a sunrise photo from my front deck. I can't believe I haven't painted one of these yet, but plan to one day.
Happy painting to you all!
