Trees and Shadows

"Trees and Shadows" is a 10 x 20" acrylic on stretched canvas. It is a private collection piece, but I chose to share it because it is one of my favorite pieces and things have been so hectic I haven't had time to paint. I remember the day I took the picture. It was on one of our winter hikes and I was standing in a building and took the picture that filled the window. The photo itself seems like a work of art to me.

Tomorrow we are leaving for Omaha. My husband has business there and I'm going along for the ride as my daughter and husband live there. My parents will be driving through, so what a perfect opportunity for an impromptu family reunion of sorts!

I'll be taking a few days off from painting, but if I run across a wonderful photo to share I will certainly do so!

Still trying to get the handyman the property management people hired to finish the mold clean up and install a toilet! I have to tell you I haven't heard so many excuses since I taught middle schoolers! Aaarrrggghhh! Ah life! It is certainly wearing on my nerves...so perhaps a few days away will give me some perspective! Don't think I'm in the mood to build a house right now...I've had my fill of contractors!

Happy painting to you all!

Beautiful painting, Saundra. What an eye you have to have seen that view from the window as you did. I hope the mini break does you lots of good and that you have a great time with your daughter and your parents!
